List Yourself Happy is a collection of 100 inspiring list prompts to help you define what you really want out of life, and how to actually get it! If you’re looking for more direction and motivation in your life, look no further. It’s my first book and I’m so excited for you to read it.

I believe that to achieve true happiness it takes regular practice, and there are so many wonderful ways to build better habits and nourish our own well-being. Just like writing in a diary or journal, list-making is an easy, therapeutic tool to cultivate a more positive outlook on life.

List Yourself Happy is a motivating and original approach to self-care that helps readers to define what makes them truly happy and inspires them to take action through small, sustainable changes. I’ll guide you through 100 list prompts to choose from, ranging from the simple (Take Yourself On A Date) to those which require more self-reflection (Thanks, Past Self!). After completing ten lists, readers then handpick one entry from each to add to their action plan for the coming month.

The list prompts are based in psychological and scientific research on happiness and life satisfaction. My superpower is in arranging these findings in a fun, inspiring way to help you make lasting improvements, and enjoy the process.

Happiness is just a few lists away!

READER REVIEWS FOR LIST YOURSELF HAPPY

“I have found this book surprisingly positive. I know it’s called “List yourself happy”, but I was cynical about how much happiness can be found in making lists. I make lists all of the time but they tend to say things like “Buy cheese”. This is a lovely, gentle approach to reflection and setting out some goals, which I found really helpful when I was feeling a bit scattered and wondering what I was doing with my life. I’ve got a few lists on the go and I’m planning to add one or two a month.” - Kirsty

“I can't speak highly enough of this book! As well as being beautifully designed (the ice-cream colours are dreamy), List Yourself Happy is full of practical list-making ideas that have motivated me to make proper changes to my daily routine and build in as much fun as possible. Jess Indeedy writes in such a way that makes you feel as though you have a cheerleader on every step of the way.
I have recommended this book to my friends and I know I will come back to List Yourself Happy time and time again.” - Jen

“This is a fun and thoughtful book that leads you gently into self-development. The list prompts help you figure out what you really want out of life and the action steps get you to actually make things happen. Motivating and inspiring and I've only just started it. Definitely recommend, especially if you already love making lists.” - Dom Servini

“This book couldn't have come at a better time. Not only does it provide positivity at a time we all need it most, it functions as the perfect handbook to getting your life back on track as we enter back into the "real world". Oh, and it looks damned gorgeous too.” - Lulu_the_Zulu

“What I loved about this book was the amount of research the author has done on the science of what makes us happy! It wasn't what I had initially expected, and was a fantastic surprise to have so much interesting information to read alongside the lists. Really great stuff!” - Anonymous

“Absolutely fantastic book! As a type-A personality who relies on lists to survive at work and for life admin, I've loved applying list-making to spark joy in the fun parts of life. Jess's exercises are clear, easy to follow, and fun!” - Didi

“It's hard to ignore the thoughtful, beautiful design of Jess's book — without a doubt, it would serve most aesthetics as a lovely coffee table book. But, the true value of this book goes so much deeper than its artful design. Its approach to self-reflection and prioritization through list making masterfully balances depth with simplicity. I can spend as little as five minutes with my coffee and this book in the morning, and come away with more purpose around how I'm approaching part of my life. Its 'bite size' approach makes it doable, and its impact makes me look forward to my list making moments. This book manages to deliver so much of what Jess delivers in her day-to-day encounters — thoughtfulness, balance and a bit (or handful) of sparkle.” - Kelsey Young

I’ve been reading books to better myself for the past 35 years and this one has inspired the most transformation for me. The written words are wonderful and entertaining of course, but what makes this book the best in the industry is the list making and action steps. Putting new ideas into day to day acts has created a positive shift that has gained momentum each day. This book has inspired the manifestation of the best version of myself I’ve ever been and am excited to keep growing. Buy it for yourself and everyone you love. - Karen Young
